FIRST Newsletter
Each month, the FIRST newsletter examines operational risk issues and provides excerpts from relevant cases taken from the FIRST database of operational risk events. The newsletter is designed to raise awareness of topical issues that can impact day-to-day business operations.
Our February 2009 issue examines the events associated with the Madoff fraud in depth, including a discussion of red flags that were sent to the SEC by a Boston-based investment manager and a list of due diligence questions culled from large hedge fund cases in Algo FIRST. The newsletter also lists large Ponzi cases from Algo FIRST that have been tracked over the years.
